A list member mentioned using jeep wheels on his vanagon a while back.

I was under the impression these wheels have the same bolt pattern as the vanagon. I'm sure the offset is wrong, but I can figure that out later. I couldn't resist a set of mint cond. alloy wheels with practically new yokohamas for $140, so I bought them. Then I go home and find the bolt pattern is not quite the same. Very close, but not exact. Probably because the jeep bolt circle is not metric. This is where the list member comes in. Hopefully there is a way to make them work.

These wheels look very nice, and the 235-75-15 tires should really help the gearing. The circumference came out at 89.5 inches, yielding a 28.5 inch tall tire.

I believe the vanagon trans has a 4.89 R/P and 0.8 fourth, so this tire would give 65mph@3000rpm.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks, PSD.
