Hi folks. I have been doing a bit of cleaning up on my '82 Transporter. The front rubber mats are original and in pretty good shape. Between the mat and the body under the seats there was clearly a ?polyurethane? foam when new. I'd like to get the mat out, clean up and replace whatever was there. Any suggestions as to what to use to clean the sticky mess, and then to replace what was there?

Warm regards from warm and humid Brisbane.

David Yates '82 Auto Transporter (Vanagon)
