Frankly I don't mind the commercial posts too much, unless they're
posted in screamy upper case and full of unverified hype.  But I
can see why Tim might not want to see them, and why he might expect
to have that wish respected -- it's definitely a part of internet
tradition that vendors are subject to the will of the non-vendor
list/newsgroup population.  Tough question.

Just to throw out an idea, we could always create the vanagon-commercial
list... I would definitely subscribe to it, and so would most folks on the
list I suspect.  Even Tim might after he hears about that great deal
on Propex heaters (or whatever...) that got away from him ;)
