Subject: Speedo Cable Broken 87GL: What's the Drill?

Volks, My speedometer was making a clicking which I thought was the unit itself, from other posts I suppose it was the cable all along as the clicking has stopped as well as the speedo and odometer alike. I am certain from the Rick Borth at Overseas Speedo that since both are still that the cable is the culprit: Questions: I should only have to replace the inner "cable", correct? The cable housing assembly isn't involved with this mess on replacement, is it? Is this just a matter of getting a cable and lubricant, pulling both ends off (wheel and speedo head) pulling out both ends now in two pieces and reinserting and lubing the new one? I am running off memory from a Ford F250 I did in college so any tips appreciated.

As well Ron, Ken/suppliers..... I NEED A CABLE!
