Subject: Re: Bentley Publishing handled defective book problem
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Marshall described how responsible and responsive Tom Bowning, the Bentley Sales Manager had been in dealing with his defective Bentley Manual. Then Marshall went on to say, "He also wanted to know if I had any ideas for new books, and wanted to know how I made use of their existing books."

While new Vanagons are longer sold in the US, perhaps Bentley publishes the South African rear wheel drive van manual. I wonder if they might entertain a single document, generated by List members, listing improvements for future Vanagon Manuals. Updating documents may be done with more ease than ever before if they're using a well designed computer publishing system.

Just a thought. John
