List members -

After reading most of the follow up posts to Tim's comment, I must admit
there is almost an even split amongst people who are for vendor
"advertising" as there are people who are against vendor "advertising".
We'll personally I think, at TIMES there is too much advertising on the
list.  On the other hand, I would hate to see it totally leave the list as
Ron, Ken and others (including myself) do provide the list with valuable
information, tips and can offer a lot of advice to the less knowledgeable
list members.  The occasional advertisement isn't totally out of line as I
am sure most of us will agree.

So this leaves suggestions on what we should do.  I don't want to dictate
what goes on this list because it isn't my list - I like to consider myself
as a referee of sorts.  I guess we have the following options:

- ban advertising
- limit OUTRIGHT adverting to ( for example) Saturdays and Mondays
- leave things as it

I am quite interested personally in the outcome of this because I have my
own business that deals with Volkswagen parts and accessories.  I have kept
my business activities to a minimum in order not to conflict with my duties
as a list administrator.

As always I am open to comments or suggestions both openly or via pmail.
