Volks -

I too would like to urge people to avoid quoting messages in full when they reply to them. All I need is a couple of lines to refresh my memory, the rest is just wasted space.

I get the list in digest form. It's much easier to read through a series of posts in one message, and I would recommend it to anyone who is tired of lots of mail, but it still goes a lot faster if I don't have to scan through 50 quoted lines.

As far as FAQs go, I think adding to the articles that already exist is a good idea. I'm not a mechanic, and don't own a Bentley (yet!) but if one of the regulars wants to head up the effort, I would be happy to do what I can, perhaps consolidate and re-write postings from the archives?

On the subject of vendor posts, in my short time on the list, I have learned a lot from them. I imagine if you have been doing this for awhile the repetition would get old, but that's true of a lot of the topics people discuss. When Ron replys to a request for information with the fact that he carried the needed part and his prices, I am happy to see it.

That kind of thing is a lot more interesting to me than discussions of Audis, or another virus alert, and I would hate to chase him off.

On trip reports, can I do one about a trip where nothing broke down?
