I think it might also be due to the rubber door gasket/seal not being in good shape. Mine is in bad shape at the bottom and I get the same puddle. To prevent rust (in the foot well) I keep a lot of Krown rust prevention stuff squirted in under the foot pad & around the bottom of the door - till I get a new door gasket. malcolm s
