I have been a member of the list for three or four years now, the list has been an invaluable source of information. The so called spam postings of the last few days is not a constant problem, but does come and go. I have a 1985 westy with 221,000 miles on it today (started at 23,000), without the list I believe that this would not have been possible. By reading the posts I know the symptoms and types of problems usually well in advance of having a problem. Past and present list venders have helped me with parts and prices that have allowed me keep my westy running all those miles. If you want to live the Westy way the list is a resource you will need.

Hello and goodbye all...

I subscribed only 3 days ago for all the usual, hopeful, fun-luvin
reasons.

THIS IS MY FIRST POST!!!  I am appalled at the displays I've
seen in just 3 days.  In all the TRASH I've recieved I only saved
3 messages of any value.

Many of you have WAY too much time on your hands.  I am on
2 other mailing lists - not automotive ones - and the tone and
volume of this list is sickening and deafening.

I'd like to say
"Why cant we all just get along" and "just hit the delete key
200 times like I've been doing, you LOSER!!"

But I give up.

I don't even feel like apologizing for the screaming
subject line.
