You need to look and see which one your tank needs. The VW parts guy should be able to figure out which one you need from your VIN number if he's not too lazy. When I did my 84's tank I also replaced all of that little diameter hose that goes to the overflow tanks using fuel injection hose. Why use the expensive stuff you ask incredulously? Because there really wasn't that much of it and the fuel injection hose is much more flexible than the cheap hose and I liked the way it routed. New SS hose clamps as well that I cut the excess "tail" off of for a neat and tidy job ( I never could find any screw clamps that would go that small and not leave a big tail hanging out. I hate that! For neat work I just snip with aviation snips through one of the worm slots then dress the end with a file.) Its nice to be able to fill the tank and not have to smell gasoline smell all the time. Worth the trouble I think. Good luck Carl Turner 84 and 85 Westies
