Welcome to the club.  Looks like you've gotten some good suggestions
already.  I've had starter problems 4 different times over the last 3 years,
all different reasons.  1.  Battery - In December I had to replace my
battery which tested fine on a battery charger but had no amperage to push.
A jump will usually identify this one.  2.  Short on the long
battery-to-starter cable.  Probably wouldn't have happened all of a sudden
for you, but if you saw your alternator light flicker yesterday before
shutting down, could be.  3.  Wire popped off the back of the solenoid.  4.
Starter needed rebuilt but even in this condition, if I gave it a jump from
my auxilary batteries, I could get it to go.

If you have a Bentley, it gives some pretty good advice for eliminating the
different components.  Hope you're already up and running, my guess is the
battery.
