All this bickering about commercial use of the list prompts me to suggest a
solution that is used by at least another mailing list (the old tools list).


Why not limit advertising  of "things to sell" to the first Monday of each
month (or some fixed date)?


It offers some advantanges, one of which is a comprehensive list of things
for sale from each vendor instead of bits here and there which may get
overlooked/deleted/ignored.


It seems to work well in the old tools list, but I admit that the members
there are really keen on collecting and aquiring tools, its a bit different
here...




Anyway, as I said, its a suggestion.
