Bill, Well, what can I say? My Sure Power isolator works just fine. I think the voltage should be at least 14 volts before installing the isolator. Before the isolator, the voltage was more like 14.2 + on my '90 westy. After installing the isolator, it did drop to 13.8 volts. But both batteries, one being a deep-cycle Optima, charge very well. I think the Optima deep-cycle likes the 13.8 volt charging. Sometimes I camp for 3 days, with extra lights and plat cat heater, etc., going and draw it down quite a bit. Usually take a trip into town, and it charges up pretty fast. Enough for another night of luxury camping.

I never have to watch the led indicator panel. Also I never bother with a trickle charger. The starter battery stays in top condition, my main concern. Well, with regard to relay vs. isolator, everyone has their own preference.

Oh, the sink P- trap - I found that in a local camper supply store. Think it's a pretty common item. Harald '90 westy
