FWIW, for those interested in "bad boy" power, I saw a surplus jet engine
for sale at eBay, under the military surplus section. Should provide a good
amount of reserve power for my beaver-powered vanagon project.
Finally, I see in the Canadian Tire Catalogue(Pg. 313, 1998). (Canada's
biggest FLAPS), a 5 watt battery solar battery charger, it is 1 square foot
in area. Connect enough of these or similar, plus an inverter, and you could
run your own electric utility, or .......?
