"Hey guys I've just linked up with a great company that guarantees I can
double my income and only work part time. It's a real great opportunity. I
mean who can't use extra money or extra time, right? As a distributor for eggs
that don't need refrigeration through the Keane Egg Company I'm offering
people a service that actually imroves their lives while helping me and my
family get filthy rich. I can help you set up a distributorship as well. There
are many benefits to refridgerator-free eggs. (although none are a benefit to
the unborn chicken) Benefits include more space for beer in your fridge. A
quick and easy raw-egg snack that can stay fresh in your bowling bag virtually
forever if uncracked. If you don't throw all the eggs you have at passing
motorists on Halloween, you can save them till next year....and if you don't
use them then you can still make a delicious egg nog ANY TIME YOU
WANT...ANYWHERE! They are great for camping, hiking, parking, sailing, doctor
visits, scuba diving, inter-gallactic travel, all sports including
synchronised swimming events, and just about anything you can think of.

If you would not like them anywhere
Well.... you won't contacted again (if only that were true)"
For my money that's what spam would look like. And while I promised myself I
would never get involved in this kind of bickering, it turns out I am weak. I
have the day off and too much free time. Yes. I have done a bad thing. But
I've gotta say I've bought parts from Ron at the Bus Depot, and I like him,
his advice, and his prices. It doesn't make sense for me to drive to Canada
for a slightly cheaper oil filter. I'm sure I'll buy from Chris and the others
sooner or later. I mean I always seem to need parts for my 15-year-old bus.
I've certainly benefitted from advice from all the guilty parties--both on the
list and through p-mail. I bought my South African grill from an ad (was he a
vendor or merely an enthusiast?) on the list. And quite frankly without "for
sale" items on the list I wouldn't have the cash to keep my bus going with
dealer parts. Do y'know the dealer wanted $3000 for a transmission! I swapped
the trans through a list vendor for $1000. And I wouldn't have known of the
vendor without his "ad" the list. That "ad" was a response to my list request
for leads on a rebuilt trans. The response came from a vendor that said I have
one for $X, and there you have it. In fact I bought my bus through an ad
posted on the list. Not a vendor, but someone with something to sell. (which
came first the chicken or the egg?)
If you would not spend your hard-earned dough
to buy parts from the Bus Depot.
If you would not buy from Ron or Chris,
If you think their posts slow down the list,
If you think their posts are spam and evil,
It may need such list upheaval.
Just stay calm and hold your seat,
grab your mouse and hit delete.
I have collected different kinds of cars on and off for years. And I am so
happy to be a part of the Volkswagen community again. You are a good group of
people. (I dabbled in GM cars for years and if I may generalize those guys are
a little horse power drunk and up tight.) I found the list two years ago and
admired the comradery and recalled my first days driving VWs--the nice, fun,
friendly people surrounding this car culture. I decided to buy a bus and
return to that crowd. So please understand none of this is meant as a personal
attack. I encourage different opinions. This one is my humble opinion.
