Sorry to re-post these 3 proposed 'rules', but I just wanted to ask:
As a basic starting point, is there anyone who could not agree with these
rules as a solution to our vendor controversy?
Thanks

>>Dear Readers:
>>
>>I suggest the following solutions for your consideration:
>>
>>1. Commercial enterprises must incorporate the word "advert" as the
very
>>first word in the subject line of each ad;
>>
>>2. Seek cooperation from commercial advertisers to not make multiple
>>promotions on the same day, and to group all their promotions into one
>>message per enterprise per day;
>>
>>3. Do not discourage commercial enterprises from responding with
answers
>>to Listee's postings where that response also carries technical
information
>>that the individual list poster may find useful, or is generally
>informative
>>to the other potential readers, even if the commercial enterprise also may
>>benefit;
>>
>>4. Listee's are to use the list administrator's mailbox as a destination
>for
>>all complaints regarding commercial vendors use of, or alleged abuse of
the
>>list.
>>
>>5. Form a committee of list members, who can act as independant
>>arbitrators of the above point #5, in the case of "serious" disputes. The
>>committee will not have legal responsibility, just the trust and good-will
>>of all list participants.
>>
>>6. Reporting to the list of the findings of said committee, including
>>statistics, on a "regular basis".
