I'm currently at the mercy of VW who are repeatedly installing cack engines in my synchro (six and counting), and am about to bail out of dealing with them. 1) does anyone have any experience of dealing with VW thro lawyers ? 2) Going with independant specialists (definitely a preference) , I have a choice of perhaps doing something about modestly increasing the power of a rebuilt engine by changing some parts or using a different engine. Other than use a Subaru engine (www.kennedyeng.com), the archives suggest that only a little can be done and that torque is more important than Horsepower. Has anyone had any experience or suggestions of good value 'safe' upgrades ? Would 1.25 rockers and a different camshaft do the trick to keep power up the hills ? Maybe replace the fuel injection with twin carbs ? What about a supercharger (as available for the bmw 2002 classic ) ? Afterall, it's generally about getting more fuel into the chamber - at the right mix. All suggestions gratefully received. Thanks Deepak
