The thread that mentioned silicone grease was about sealing o-rings. Silicone grease (I use Dow Corning #5) should be available from your local bearing wholesaler. (King Bearing, Kaman Industrial Technologies, etc.) Look in the phone directory under bearings. As for sealing "aging window seals", I think that the best option is to leave that to the professionals. Go to your local auto glass replacer and have them do the deed.
