Hello; I have an 87 GL, which opens it's own sunroof. The problem seems to be that the crank handle has lost the detent ball that makes it want to tuck into it's little recess in the roof. I went to the nearest VW wrecker, and found a golf sunroof handle, which had the detent ball and spring, but the handle is too different to use, and the ball and spring arrangement is totally different, so I am unable to use it. Sunroof Vanagons are very rare here (Vancouver Island), as I have not seen any others at all. Someone out there has the crank I need, or knows where I can find it, I'm sure. so P-mail me, and help me keep my interior dry and warm. Larry Carter |
