David: My seat used to squeak badly, so I took it apart and greased it. Fixed the armrests by adding loctite to the flathead screws that attach the arm posts. The mechanism is pretty simple, and you might have a broken or derailed part. Make sure that the main pivot screws are tighted and greased, and that the pivot latch pawl is in place - compare it to the other seat for reference. Inspection will tell.........
