Bill; All you need is another cable between the alternator and starter. About 18 inches and the same size as the existing cable.In effect doubling the current carrying capabilities. The cable between the battery and the starter is ample. I performed this mod on our 85 because the dealer air created an unacceptable voltage drop in this area.
