Anyone have an idea why my 81 will idle fine for the first few minutes, and then won't idle at all after that? Also when I disconnect the head temp sender next to #3 it won't even start. I have replaced the AFM with a rebuilt one and changed the distributor to one where the plug for the hall sender isn't hanging down on the tin. The motor only has about 50k on a rebuild and when I rev it up it seems strong and healthy, I would like to keep it from the clutches of the dreaded dealer so any help is great appreciated.
