If you are having problems with threats and harassment by someone over the Internet, take note of their server. Most ISP's have a clause in the contract that states that you cannot use the account to harass, threaten...so on so forth. All you have to do is send copies of the emails to the ISP's administrator and their ISP account will be turned off. In case of the college I go to, the offending person will also have some problems with the school. When I was in the navy there was a Commander who about to retire who lost many of his retirement benefits due to poor conduct while using a Government Computer System. From what I have noticed is that most threats are from people who hide their identities, and secondly wouldn't have the balls to do it to anybody's face.

Just my thoughts on the subject.
