Subject: Skydiving "adventure" at a Westy Gathering
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

There was a Westy meet last summer, and a local skydiving club was offering familiarization dives and courses to all the participants.

In the training, all students were told in the event of a main chute deployment failure, they were to immediately pull the reserve chute rip cord.

One Westy owner decided to take the course, even though he had to leave his buddy alone to find the leak in the vaccuum system of his Westy.

It was time to jump, he jumped and immediately had a main chute failure. As instructed, he pulled the reserve chute rip cord. Nothing.

"Oh no", he screamed, as he saw the ground spinning and rushing towards him furiously.

Then, he noticed a speck, near the ground, and it was getting bigger, and appeared to be rushing towards him! He realized that it was his friend, rocketting into the sky at an amazing rate!

As they passed, the skydiver yelled, "Hey, know anything about parachutes?" His friend yelled, "No! Know anything about checking for vaccuum leaks using carb spray?"
