Subject: Coolant sensor O ring
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all,

Well, my FLVW dealer$hip had the O-rings and retaining springs in stock! These are the devices that hold the coolant temperature sensors into the thermostat housing. It was great actually walking out of there with only leaving $3.03! Anyway, I don't want to drain the entire coolant system, and I am not sure that I am going to be very fast at putting the new O-ring in and inspecting the sensor housing. Now, I am not a Physics major, but I see that the thermostat housing is lower than the radiator, and I don't want to get a coolant shower. Will the closed thermostat prevent the majority of the water leaking out, or are the sensors on the wrong side? My bucket is only so big, and I don't want to get stuck with a fountain that I can't stop when the bucket starts overflowing! BTDT.

Thanks, Michael Townsend
