Dear List,
My only concern with Randy's solution (which is quite clever, btw) is how the unit LOOKS after it is installed -- I have never actually seen a good picture of it (NOTE: the picture on Randy's website is the "before" picture). Randy posted a front-on picture in the LiMBO newsletter last year, but you couldn't tell much from the angle of that picture combined with poor printing.
My fear is that it may look "dorky" or something. Jim Davis suggests it looks "a little bit odd" but I'm not sure exactly what he means. What I want to see is a photo showing a closeup 45 degree view -- How about it Randy? Then I can judge for myself.
Until then, I can't seriously consider this solution. Lately I've been giving more serious consideration to the SA grill set for use during the Caravana PanAmericana adventure down to Tierra del Fuego -- if only because round lights are universally available.
Cheers, MJS
