That sounds reasonable. The only clutch/tranny part I've ever had to fix on any car was a slave cylinder on a '75 corolla. The mechanic charged $25 for the part and $10 labor.

It failed catastrophically, however, as my pedal went to the floor. If I do have a slight leak in the vanagon slave cylinder, am I headed that way if I don't replace it?
