Just thought I would follow up on the engine temperatures- I guess a lot depends on length of drive and outside temperature. I am am using a digital prong temperature gauge and I placed it on top of the engine, close to the distributor cap in a vertical position, tight between some wires. Reads were taken in Port Coquitlam, B.C.; it was 39.6 F on Saturday.

I let the westy idle for 20 mins- the temp was 120 F

I had to make a 45 min highway drive into Vancouver, engine temp 128 F

For the next week, I have to do quite a bit of driving, so I will continue to record temperatures.

Hey Bob, how was your pizza? Anyone else try anything on the engine this weekend? Remember to keep those wesipes coming- categories are supplies, gadgets and gizmos, salads, main courses, beverages, desserts, canned food mixtures, breads, engine cooking.

Peace!
