Hi everyone, I'm looking for statistics on engine conversions. I have only found sites which explain the conversion but do not talk about after the fact. I have a '84 Vanagon and it looks like I need a new Trans after the 140K miles, And I gather pretty soon I need an engine as well. Does anyone know how long a regular automatic transmission last with a Subaru attached to it? I'm driving some local mountains (up to 8000' and I live at see level) and looking forward to a better engine. In summer I have to turn off the A/C due to overheating, do I have the same problem with the Subaru as well? Thanks for your feedback A new one to the list Roman |
