In today's Globe & Mail (pg B29), in an article about the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), there is a picture of a 1965 advertisement with a family of 10 standing in front of their WV bus (small oval windows on the side of the roof and a canvas 'sun roof'). The family name is Ford, which accounts for the large print in the add:

"Why Ford swears by Volkswagen"

The add goes on to tell why Mr. Ford (and his 10 kids) like and drive the bus.

The advertisement. is on display in the Royal Ontario Museum. Too bad the museum does not have a pristine bus to put along side the advertisement.
