Dear List,

It is with regret that I must sell my extremely rare 1989 Audi Turbo Quattro Wagon. Wife is tired of spending money on the old gal -- she wants a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

"Wizard" runs great. Handles better than my BMWs ever did. The only real problem we have is that there is a short somewhere that occassionally drains the battery which then requires a jump. Some enterprising soul could probably track it down and get a GREAT car for a bargain. The other thing she needs is a new paint job -- there is no rust -- rather, the clearcoat has failed (which it typical for this car).

Specs:

2.2L 5-cylinder turbo engine with intercooler (great for Vanagon project?)

full-time all wheel drive

2nd owner

alumninum "turbo" wheels (install them on your Vanagon?)

grey exterior with grey leather seats

power door locks

power windows

cruise control

Power Sunroof

built-in cell phone

5-speed manual

abs brakes

factory air conditioning

factory cassette

power seats (but not heated seats)

Bentley 3-volume factory manual

new tires

new clutch master cylinder

new timing belt

all receipts

Carprices.com & bluebook.com price:

$5650-7185

First $5000 takes it.

Cheers,
