The muffler does a better job. All you have to do is fabricate a new muffler from regular tail pipe stock (a through) design and wrap it with sheet metal. One could baffle the ends to recirculate the gas several times through the unit in order to improve the efficiency, and Wa-La one has a fantastic roaster. Open the door, chunk in your meal wrapped in HEAVY aluminum foil, drive for 2 - 3 hours and a delicious meal is ready to eat.
