Hi Hans,
    I would check the voltage output  on the O2 sensor with a hot engine
(warmed up).  If it is bouncing above and below  0.5 volts your digijet
system is doing the best it can do. You must use a  digital volt meter.
Radio shack has them for less than $25 and I just got a flier from circuit
specialists  at www.web-tronics.com with one for $19. If the voltage is ok
then your best choice is to install a cat.  I have seen many cars pass smog
inspection here in Illinois without a cat.
