Hi. I'm new to the list and to VW in general. I've actually just bought my first car, a 1980 VW Vanagon Microbus which is in an excelent condition and I think I'm already having an extraordinary good time with it. Reading the different emails on the list I find not only good and professionally excelent people, but a whole new culture that I'm beginning to identify with.

I've search the web for technical advice on the maintenance of my VW and found some important sites but I haven't found one that has some technical diagrams and photographs on vanagons (motors, electrical, brake and lubrication systems). I have to overhaul the motor and install a new set of engine seals and it would help if I had an idea of what my mechanic is going to do. I've asked in Amazon for the Muir and Bentley books everybody recommends, but they will take a while to get here (by the way, I'm from Costa Rica, in Central America).

Does anyone knows where can I find this information on the net?

Thanks in advance.
