I am selling the motor out of my '91 Carat Vanagon (as the new owner wants to put a rebuilt one in). He wants to do the ultimate in Preventive Maintenance by replacing the motor BEFORE it goes bad. I feel sad in taking a perfectly good motor out of my Vanagon but it is part of the deal so who needs a good running 2.1l motor? It has 150k miles on it and does not smoke, passes NJ emissions, runs with plenty of power (for a waterboxer that is) and has been very reliable. No head leaks and really no problems with the motor at all. This is just the longblock (valve cover to valve cover, no: accessories, exhaust stuff, injection stuff, intake, wiring harness, sender's, etc.) It will come with a waterpump though (I believe it is the original one). I really hate to sell this van, but I can only drive one at a time. Let me know if anyone is interested. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
