Subject: RMMW selling chinese parts

FYI

I bought front wheel bearings from Rocky Mountain Motor Works catalogue and they sent me bearings manufactured in China. (I've seen the same brand bearings in Wal-Mart for boat trailer axels at about $5 for two)

In addition they sent the wrong thrust washers.

Since their catalogue promises "we have the unique buying power to purchase from the same world class manufacturers that supply Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche," I sent them a letter (via US mail) noting my dissatisfaction with chinese parts. My letter was sent December 18 and to date I have not recieved a response.

Now I'm dissatisfied with their product and customer service. I send on this information so fellow listees can make an informed decision for future purchases. If doing business with RMMW I guess it's a good idea to ask where the parts are from.
