It is basically impossible to overload a relay trigger circuit unless there is a short somewhere -- after all, that is the basic premise of ANY relay: low amperage trigger; high-amperage main.

Thus, the ONLY way to get more charging amperage to the aux battery is installing BOTH a high-amp relay AND high-amp main circuit wiring. And since VW doesn't offer any high-amp relays, you will be better off finding one from some other source.
