>>Hello All, >> >>I've been having a problem with my fuel injection system for months now. No >>one can seem to fix it. I have installed all new sensors, AFM, checked, >>cleaned and reconnected all grounds. After I installed the AFM she ran >>great for about two weeks, then without warning back to running extremely >>rich, I get a normal running voltage of .95v on the O2 sensor after warm up >>with a peak of over 1v. However, when idling O2 fluctuates normally. All >>other sensor readings on the Digitool are normal. The fuel pressure is >>normal I'm told by the latest mechanic to check it. When you say new sensors, do you mean "NEW" new, "REBUILT" new, or "USED" new? Rebuilt AFMs in particular enjoy an incredibly lousy reputation.
>> >>This is a real teaser<<also a pain in the butt>> It seems that the engine >>is getting extra fuel from somewhere and that the O2 sensor cannot adjust >>the mixture enough. I have a rebuilt 2.1 with 1:2.5 ratio rockers, is there >>anyway that these could be causing the problem? And if so, why would it run >>great for awhile then get so rich? You've checked the wiring harness, and the ECU, right? Also, is the alternator output voltage within spec? Joshua Van Tol -- jjvantol@uswest.net |
