listees, my 87 syncro won't start. The 2 relays in the black plastic box in the engine comp. are switching like crazy. Background, 4 days ago I was starting the engine (morning) and it just cranked. Then I noticed that my fuel pump wasn't humming for the norm 2-3 sec as you turn the key to the run position. so I rode my Honda CBR1000 to work instead. Next morning she started as normal. Today after wash/waxing my syncro I went to pull it out, no start, will crank though. I could hear the fuel pump working (humming) swapped the 2 relays no joy, unplugged dist found moisture in the 3 wire socket, left unplugged, put relays back and they are still going berserk. I'm thinking about some corrosion on one of the grounds. It's dark now so I won't troubleshoot anymore till Monday morning. Just thought I would put the question out there if someone can help. I'm going to Spain, France, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, with the USS SHIP in a couple of weeks. Anyone want anything VW from there let me know.
