In reply to Erik's concern about the pressure and hydraulic hose. No I did not know it was 1400 # is that right ? Does anyone know for sure ? I do know it is very high that's for sure. I also know that so far the hydraulic hose I had made by the hydraulic hose shop is working just fine. I guess time will tell. I thought about the copper tubing idea but you would need to replace the entire line and make new connections at each end as don't think you would be able to get hydraulic fittings that are metric threaded for the copper tubing. Also the copper tubing idea requires a lot of bending to get it into place. Go look under your vans and check out where those power steering lines run and you'll see what I mean ! The hydraulic lines sure seem to be the best way so far. And, to address the pressure thing once again, I would imagine that hydraulicly operated construction equipment has higher pressures than the power steering of our Volkswagen vans, I could be wrong though as this is just my thoughts with no back up ! Cheers Frank
