Hello Steve , I like the WBX .I'm actually a lover from the stock stuff. When I had my 1965 Bus I dreamt of WBX engine for my Bus I was building a watercooling around the heads ,ones for better cooling of the engine and also for a heater. With the conversion what I offer you are able to switch back when ever you like!!!!!! The 4 Cyl./ 5 Cyl. inline engine conversion is only a upgrad with mostlikely stock stuff. And think about some Vanagon lover are family people and or Mountain fan.If so they need a little more power then the 2.1 l WBX will deliver to move 7 passenger over a pass with confidence. Sincerely Detlev Vanagon Projekt |
