Dave, Next time point your Vanagon west out of Boulder. Head up I-70, then turn off to Steamboat Springs. Leave Steamboat on US-40, go to Granby, then take 34 through Rocky Mtn. National Park (when it opens in the spring) then back to Boulder. Did I mention to convert it to a Westy first, then load it with all the extra gear you might need, and be sure to make the trip during the height of tourist season? I wonder how you would feel about an engine swap then, especially if your heads had just begun leaking? Hell, I could do Boulder to St. Louis with a skateboard and a kite on the right day, no stops for gas! To each his own... Larry '82 diesel-->Jetta Westy Park City, UT
