Well, less corrosion prone than steel anyhow. Copper has the
unfortunate property that it work hardens. That is to say, the more
it is bent (i.e. worked) the harder and more prone to cracks it gets.
For that reason, DOT does not allow the use of copper for brake
lines. Copper plated steel is pretty common though.


I suspect that, all things considered, steel is more durable than
rubber, copper, or plastic lines.
