hey there everyone, Once again I am relying on the list for a little info. Here the scenario...my 88gl's oil light has been acting up after running at hw speeds to slower route roads, not really a new thing. So what I finally did/realized/was told was I got a filter with the pressure valve inside (mann), swithced oil to a thicker grade (suggestion from list) 10w 30 synthetic ( overlapps with 10w 40), and in doing this i took off the air intake housing (while changing plugs) and with further inspection found not a lot but a coating of oil/fuel throughout. I realize that this is the juncter (?) of the air and fuel systems but is there supposed to be quite so much residue like this. Even the sensor from the black breather tube to housing was covered in this film. My question is then is this normal, should there be some fluid like this or does this mean my van is running rich, and what exactly does that mean (just excess fuel not being burned off!!!! prob/maybe) How can I correct this (does the idle stabalizer have something to do with it)

any info meaning for or not is always welcome!! jon 88gl
