OK, I'll play this game..

Who needs a bracket? Mine was missing completely when I bought my 85 Crew. I went to Home Depot and bought 2 of the biggest stainless steel hose clamps I could find. 7" diameter, I think. Each one was about $3 USD. I put them around the muffler and one of the exhaust pipes, cranked them down tight. Seems to work for me!

Looks like either way, we still need a Home Depot!

BTW - You don't want to secure the muffler to the frame, since the engine will move under acceleration, etc. If the muffler cannot move with the engine, something will eventually break.
