Subject: 87 westy with tranny woes
Content-type: multipart/alternative;

Hi,

New to list (and Vanagons for that matter!). Have tranny fluid coming out fill tube once she warms up. Had tranny rebuilt, same problem. Have reason to believe she was towed for more than 30 miles at greater than 30 mph against owners manual recommendations. I'm thinking damage to the torque converter. Any thoughts/experience on this?

Thanks in advance Bill
