I have an '84 Westy and average around 19-21 mpg.  I don't go over 65
and usually cruise at 60.  I've intalled a K&N air filter and it
"seemed" to help out the low end, so I don't have to rev the hell out of
the engine to climb.  Just my Canadian Nickel.
