Subject: 84 vanagon hunting
Content-Type: text/plain

after about 2 minutes of idling when first started, my 84 vanagon hunts bad. (900-1100 rpm). it runs well if you are giving it gas, but let it idle and the hunting is there. when i diconnect the plug on the air flow meter the hunt goes away. need an air flow meter, HUH? i do not seem to be getting a nice steady resistance reading as i manually open the flapper valve. the bently manual is not very clear. it only states, resistance will vary when flapper moved. i have cleaned grounds, fixed vacuum leaks, had idle speed and co adjustments all over the place, nothing truly helps. oh yes the tune up was done.... please help.
