I wouldn't try that. You'll probably wreck your smaller torque wrench's
calibration if you don't outright break the thing.

I have heard of certain wrenches where you can do this, but I've never seen
one. I have seen one that provide corrective calcultions for the use of crow's
feet. This requires a recalculation since the torque is being measured along
the arm and not at the bolt or nut center.

A simple torque calculation is fairly straightforward: it's the force (lbs. or
newtons) applied through a moment arm (feet, inches or meters): the distance
between the point of force application and the center of the nut or bolt)

Rent or borrow a big one, this is the safest option.
