Subject: Vanagon Speaker Clarification

I have had a bunch of folks interested in these 4 inch Vanagon speakers. A clarification I would like to make is that these are the stock speakers for the '87 and newer Vanagons (4 ohm Blaupunkts that are black with a black mesh grille). They can work on the older Vanagons (with the speaker mount that unscrews) because the hole is the same size. However you will have to get some of those metal screw clips that allow you to screw the speaker to the pressboard door panel securely (you don't want to just screw it to the door panel because it will pull loose within a short time) and the 4 screws to mount each speaker with. I guess these might be available at a radio store or pep boys (anyone know where to get these?) Just wanted to let people know so that are not surprised when they get the speakers and they don't look anything like thier old ones. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
